Recorded by Forest of Castles, during a snow storm, in a small hut on the west coast of Scotland, in the winter of early 2005.

Two microphones and only one set of headphones.
Domhnach could not hear any of his guitar during the recording and Ruadh had never even heard the songs. They just bashed it out in one sitting.
No second takes!
It was cold, difficult, hostile & extremely primitive.

The sound of the recording expresses that perfectly.

Only a handful of copies of this album were made at that time, & given to a select group of individuals.

These master tapes were found during a studio clear-up in the Autumn of 2022 & mixed by Domhnach for a digital release in the Spring of 2023

"The Funeral Gardens" would evolve into "Bloodstained Steel" by Daemonolith, on their 2009 album "By Order of Decimation".
